Punta Areanas ANTARCTIC Puerto Chacabuco

The Chilean Fjords are a set of islands that are on the southwestern portion of Chile.  It is through these fjords that the Straits of Magellan pass.

They are so majestic that they were included in the title of our voyage "Antarctica & The Chilean Fjords".

Unfortunately, we used up all of our good weather those two days in Antarctica so our trip through the fjords was in the rain with overcast skies.

ANCF0003 (Rain clouds down to the water level)   ANCF0010 (Water puddles and reflections on the deck)

ANCF0011 (The clouds just hung onto the mountain tops)   ANCF0016 (The captain said that this Greek freighter was put on the reef on purpose)

ANCF0017 (The insurance paid off, but the ship remains for all to see)   ANCF0023 (Along the way waterfalls cascaded down the steep mountain sides)
