Lemaire Channel is known as the "Kodak Gap" due to its sheer cliffs falling straight into the sea. It is flanked by the Antarctic Peninsula on one side and Booth Island on the other. On the day we were there the skies were overcast and the sun started popping through only on our way back out of the channel. This was our southernmost point at 65°07' South Latitude. The Antarctic Circle is at 66°33' South Latitude. There are two sets of photos for the Lemaire Channel. The first set have been converted to black-and-white (Grayscale). They bring out the dramatic nature of the landscape. The second set has a bit of color, mostly blue ice, that did appear under the overcast skies. These photos stand on their own, and no descriptions are needed. A pair of tall, rounded and often snow-capped peaks are named Una's Tits. I'm sure that you will be able to pick them out. With an overcast sky and solid cloud cover there was little we could do except stand in awe of the majestic presentation nature put on. Black-and-White Photos
