Port Lockroy ANTARCTIC Paradise Harbor

These photos are from the second time we went through the Gerlache Strait.  This time we were going north and it was in the afternoon, not 10:30pm.  You know that it is unlikely that you will see these sights again, so you keep taking photos hoping to capture a little bit of what you are experiencing.

ANGS0105 (Antarctic mountains and icebergs)   ANGS0109 (This one has a hole in it)

ANGS0114 (Shades of blue)   ANGS0123 (Blue sky, blue water, white mountains)

ANGS0125 (Imagine sailing to Antarctica for your vacation)   ANGS0131 (Heading toward Lemaire Channel)

ANGS0139 (It seems big up close)   ANGS0140 (But in the scheme of things it is rather small)

ANGS0142 (The shapes are fascinating)   ANGS0148 (Another iceberg, same mountain)

ANGS0152 (Where is this Chilean Navy ship heading?)   ANGS0161 (We slowed way down when we were approaching this iceberg)

ANGS0178 (It got bigger as we got closer)   ANGS0179 (Was above me standing on the bridge deck)
